FTL (Full Truck Load)

FTL (Full Truck Loads) are conveyed using Tri-Axle articulated trailers and truck-tractor vehicle combinations, which are dispatched daily from all main towns in RSA via Johannesburg, South Africa or delivered directly to the consignee without multiple handling or transshipment.

Intermodal Container

A large, standardised container that can be used across different modes of transport, such as ship, rail, truck, or air, without unloading and reloading the cargo inside.

LTL (Less than Truck Load)

A shipping service for relatively small loads or quantities of freight that do not require a full truckload trailer. LTL shipments share the trailer space with other shippers and pay only for the space they occupy.

Break-Bulk part-load consolidation

The process of breaking down a large shipment into smaller individual shipments and combining them with other compatible shipments to optimize the trailer space and reduce transportation costs.

Cabotage Container Drayage SADC / Return RSA

The re-positioning of empty containers from an area of surplus to an area of shortage within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region or back to South Africa (RSA). This can provide additional revenue and security for transporters and reduce re-positioning costs for container operators.
